General Information Leaflet; Circular No. 1

Scope and Contents Material in this section concerns a diking project to create fresh-water lake on the east side of Great Salt Lake. This project was begun during the depression as a F. E. R. A. financed recovery program. Adams worked on the plan for a number of years and produced a number of articles derived from data gathered in the course of his investigations. Diking plans were revived following World War II and some limited dikes were finally built, primarily to provide water for the migratory bird refuges.
