Whitney, near the well curb at Carthage Jail, a few days after the murder of the Prophet and Patriarch. So my mother, Helen Mar Kimball Whitney, informed me prior to her death in 1896. As I remember the account given by my parents, but now deceased, they visited, in company with others, the scene."
