Scope and Contents From the Collection: The Marvin Alton Melville papers (1950-2001) contain scrapbooks, newspaper and magazine articles, correspondence, meeting minutes, and other documents concerning the United States Ski Association (USSA), particularly the Alpine Competition Committee, of which Melville was the chairman, and its dealings with different ski associations such as the International Ski Federation (FIS). The collection also contains material on the 1956, 1960, and 1964 Olympics.
