Leroy J. Robertson's original manuscripts are the major part of this collection. Many of these manuscripts show the progression from first melody sketches to the completed works. Hugo Leichtentritt Autobiography

In 1940, Leichtentritt and two other fugitives from Nazi Germany were invited by a committee of Harvard professors to write of their lives and experiences under the Hitles regime. Leichtentritt did so, but he states that he did not win the prize offered because his manuscript did not record enough of the rise of Hitler and the Nazis.
