Scope and Contents
The Northern New Mexico photograph album is a black photograph album with black pages containing 219 black-and-white photograph prints. The binding from the album was removed for preservation purposes, but the original order of the pages and images was maintained. The album was compiled and the photographs taken by an unknown individual or individuals. The photographs date from the late 1920s through the 1930s. Many of the images are identified. The images depict a group of young adults with each other, with animals, on ranches, and engaging in outdoor activities and tourism. Many of the photographs were taken in Northern New Mexico. The album also documents a trip taken by members of the group through Arizona to the Grand Canyon in Arizona. Locations include: Pecos River; Cow Creek Ridge; Holy Ghost Canyon; San Ildefonso Pueblo; Elephant Butte; Coolidge Dam; Grand Canyon; Tucson, Maricopa County, Arizona; Guaymas, Mexico. Individuals identified include: Mary Sprague; Bill Bawher; Jay Kirkpatrick; Betty and Arthur Loew; Grace and Betty Sheldon. Subjects include: rodeo; horses; tourism; hiking.

Abstract
This collection consist of the pages of a photograph album containing black-and-white snapshots of a group of young adults socializing and engaging in outdoor activities in northern New Mexico and Arizona in the late 1920s through the 1930s. Though many of the images are identified, the name of the creator and compiler of the album is unknown.
