Scope and Contents

Box 1 Folder 1 is digital only and consists of 15 scans of black-and-white photograph prints of Rupper and Grames family members. The scans were made by the donor and donated in tif format on a USB drive. Box 1 Folder 2 contains prints. Folder 2 contains 4 color and black-and-white prints of Anna Elizabeth Rupper and Joseph Grames. Box 2 is oversize and contains 2 oval framed individual portraits of Rosina Hurliman Rupper and John Jacob Rupper of Provo, Utah.

Biographical / Historical

Anna or Annie Elizabeth Rupper Grames was born on September 4, 1882 in Provo, Utah to Margaretha Rosina Huerlimann and John Jacob Rupper. She married Joseph Sherwood Grames (1885-1972) on March 30, 1910 in the Salt Lake Temple; together, they had one daughter, Ruth Grames Gordon. The couple lived in Provo, Utah. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Annie Elizabeth Rupper Grames served as President of the Sixth Ward Primary from 1914 to 1922 and as a teacher for the Relief Society for 40 years. Grames was a member of the Sixth Ward genealogy committee and of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, Camp No. 8 and Camp no. 14. Anna Elizabeth Rupper Grames died on December 2, 1963 in Provo, Utah. Anna or Annie Elizabeth Rupper Grames (1882-1963) was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints from Provo, Utah. This collection contains digital-only images and photograph prints of Grames and her family dating from approximately 1880 to 1950.
