Historical Note

As photography became more compact, affordable and consequently more accessible to the public, people start taking cameras with them on various travels. The result is travel albums that create snapshots of the time, culture, landscape, and people. These albums focus on the 1930s and 1940s.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

Donated by Frank Nelson in 2003.

Frank Nelson (donor) was son-in-law of Wesley Eddington, married to only child Mary Catherine Eddington, 1944-1994. These items were left in her house when she died in 1994, and were retained by Mr. Nelson before being donated to the University of Utah.
