The album also contains postcards. Most are commercial color postcards; this section of the album also contains 2 black-and-white postcard photographs of the CCC camp at Henryville, Indiana.

Historical Note
The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) was a New Deal work relief program established by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in response to the Great Depression which began in 1929. The CCC was established in 1933 and lasted until 1942. It was established to provide employment for out-of-work, unmarried men between the ages of 18 and 25 (later expanded to 17-28) by improving public lands. One of the focuses of the CCC was to reverse the soil erosion that contributed to the drought known as the Dust Bowl in the American West and Midwest. Additionally, the CC worked on constructing bridges, trails, campsites, fighting forest fires, and erecting buildings.
Utah was a particular target for Federal aid as the average state wage was 80% of the national average and over 35% of the state workforce was unemployed. Over the nine years the CCC operated, 116 camps were established throughout Utah, though only 1/3rd of these operated in any given year, and the CCC spent $52 million in the state. The Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management took up the majority of the projects in Utah. Over 22,000 Utah locals were employed by the CCC while the other 23,000 plus CCC workers in Utah were from other states. In addition to the projects they worked on, the CCC camps boosted the local economy as those employed received $30 per month, with $25 going to their families and $5 going to the workers for personal use. The CCC was disbanded in 1942 as the United States entered World War II.
