Scope and Contents
The Paul Robbins photograph collection consists of 4 boxes containing 3,059 color slides, transparencies, postcards, negatives and black-and-white photographs and negatives collected and taken by Robbins over the course of his career as a ski journalist and historian. The collection spans from approximately the 1960s to 2005. Box 1 contains color slides and transparencies documenting a United States Ski Association Eastern Championship series. The images were removed from a binder titled" USSA 1186 FIS Regional Series Slide Production" and also contain views of the mountain at Mt. Snow Ski and Golf Resort, Times Square in New York City, ski resort in Italy and a ski lodge. The images in Box 1 may not have been produced by Robbins, since most are labeled either "David K. There are also imges of events and scenes in Austria, Canada, Norway and Switzerland. There is a large concentration of images of skiing in New England, where Robbins lived; particularly Vermont and New Hampshire.
