The image was accompanied by a letter to Dr. Gregory Thompson from Dan Owen:

"It was a pleasure attending the big Affair and meeting you in person.

Please find Enclosed a copy of a photo of the water ramp built on Bob's family property, Nordic Valley in the mid 70s.

It was built by Bob and Hans Ribi with some help from Jeff Chumas and Frank Bare Jr.

It was the location of at least one world record and helped to keep the sport alive during the legal problems and transition from governing bodies of freestyle.

It was the largest water ramp in North America and hosted many athletes including the Canadian Freestyle Ski Team."
