Biographical / Historical

Bob Salerno (1953-2021) started Virtual Snow Los Angeles in 1997. A two-time World Champion freestyle skier, Bob helped pioneer the world of extreme skiing and devoted most of his life to “making skiers outta people,” as his son (and now owner of Virtual Snow LA) Rob Salerno would say.

Bob was recognized for his significant contribution to the community when he was inducted into the Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame in 2016.
