Scope and Contents
David Engen skied for the University of Utah from 1963 through 1966. He competed in all four events -- downhill, slalom, cross-country, and jumping, and was a University Ski Team Captain in 1966. In 1964 and 1966 Engen was selected to the NCAA All American Team. David Engen was chosen as a member of the United States Alpine Ski Team in 1966 and represented the U.S. and University of Utah at the World University Games held in Sestrierre, Italy in 1966. As a teenager, David Engen was the winner of the slalom and alpine events at the Jr. National Ski Championships held at Big Mountain, Montana in 1962. The David Engen collection contains one black and white photograph of Engen competing in the slalom event at the World University Games, 1966.
