Scope and Contents
These slides of Glen Canyon were sent to Marian Krogmann by Grace Fites. The trip documented in this collection started at Hite in late May, 1962, and ended just above the Glen Canyon Dam in early June, 1962. Gene Foster led the group; she knew the canyon well; it was short of a last look for her before Lake Powell formed. Other members of the group were Carroll Hodges, geologist from Redwood City, CA; Norviel Eyrich and Ron, high school students; Moe Burg; Al, Bill, and Vic, worked together in California.
All of the descriptions of the slides found in this register were written on the slide by either Marian Krogmann or Grace Fites. Most of the slides were taken by Grace Fites, only a few taken by Gene Foster.
