Historical Note

The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) or Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States is an organization of United States war veterans. It was established in 1899. Its purpose is to provide aid to veterans and their families and service to communities. Atomic Post 4355 is a chapter of the VFW located in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was the first VFW hall to open after the United States dropped atomic bombs on Japan in 1945.
