Biographical Note
Ruth Gilchrist Bracy (1914-2014) was born in Lynn, Massachusetts, and moved to Salt Lake City as a young child. She attended Brigham Young University as well as the University of Utah, and was active in business for many decades, first at Wolfe's Department Store, and then with her husband Bill at Bracy Enterprises. After his death in 1973, she founded Bracy Brass Rubbing Center. Bracy traveled extensively and was also active with the international philanthropic organization.
