Biographical / Historical

Mitchell H. Kline, born in 1905 in Kinderhook, N.Y., was a mining engineer who worked for the U.S. Bureau of Mines in the 1940s and early 1950s. In 1954, Rare Metals Corporation of America was incorporated with headquarters in Salt lake City, and Kline became its vice president and assistant manager of operations. The company’s uranium mill near Tuba City was in operation from 1956 to 1966.
