Historical Note
The KUTV station first signed onto the air on September 10, 1954 as an ABC affiliate in Salt Lake City, Utah. The original co-owners of the station were Frank C. Carman and Associates and the Salt Lake Tribune. In 1994, NBC bought the majority control of KUTV from VS and A Communications Partners. Just under a year later, on September 10, 1995, KUTV switched its affiliation to CBS.
