Historical Note

The first notation in the ledger has a statement titled, "Agreement and Rules of the Pleasant View Irrigation Company" and it states the following:

We the land owners on the East Bench between Parley's and Emigration Creeks, do hereby covenant and agree, ..., to pay our just proportion of the tax levied for the purpose of bringing out the waters of Parley's Creek; and we furthermore agree to abide by the Rules and Regulations adopted by a two-thirds vote of said land owners, at a meeting duly called for adoption of said Rules and Regulations.
