Biographical Sketch

Allen Quentin Howard (1908-1994) was born to Eva Richardson and Wilson Allen Howard. He was a musician, businessman, woodworker, photographer, and geologist. He graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in geology and later finished three years of correspondence courses in law. He worked as a claims manager for General Motors during the 1930s, managing areas in four western states. Howard's love of photography led to several one-man shows and a book, Perspective in Photography. He served as a president of Salt Lake City's Camera Club, as well as president of the Art Barn Board and the Civic Music Association.
