Biographical / Historical

Virgil Pershing Howe (1918-1961) was an amateur actor, and theatrical activities around Salt Lake City. Howe was raised in Heber, Utah, and spent most of his life doing theater work at the Salt Lake Theater and the University of Utah. He also served with the U.S. Marines during World War II.

The Virgil Pershing Howe papers (1930-1960s) are comprised of theater materials concerning Howe (1918-1961), an amateur actor, and theatrical activities around Salt Lake City. Virgil Pershing Howe was raised in Heber, Utah, and spent most of his life doing theater work at the Salt Lake Theater and the University of Utah. He also served with the U.S. Marines during World War II.
