Biographical / Historical

A. Selden Millward (1898-1973) was born as Andrew Selden, later abbreviating his first name to A. and going by his middle name. He was raised in Grantsville, Utah, by Joseph E. Millward and Charlette A. Curtis. Millward was also raised a member of the LDS Church. Millward was appointed president of the Rochester Conference in 1925 for the LDS Church by B. H. Roberts. Millward was president of the Eastern States Mission for a number of years, and he resided in Rochester, New York.

The A. Selden Millward correspondence (1926) consists of letters, some from B. H. Roberts, regarding the management of the Eastern States Mission. Millward was a native of Utah who served as president of the Eastern States Mission of the LDS Church.
