Biographical Note

Lucille Iredale was born 3 January 1897 in Rock Springs, Wyoming. She was educated in the public schools in Rock Springs, where she met Fred A. Carleson, whom she married in 1916. The couple lived in Washington and Idaho before settling down to raise their two daughters in Salt Lake City. Lucille was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral and did volunteer work at Holy Cross Hospital. The author of numerous poems, Lucille was active in the National League of American Pen Women. She was also a member of Town Club. Lucille died in Salt Lake City on 14 September 1992.
