Biographical Note

Fredrick A. Carleson (1896-1993) owned a Pontiac-Cadillac dealership in Salt Lake City. He took over the Ford dealership in Salt Lake City in 1934 which then became an Intermountain Area dealer for Pontiac-Cadillac. Carleson was president of the Utah Automobile Dealers Association during the late 1970s. He was married to Lucille Iredale (1897-1992), who wrote and published poetry.

Abstract

The Fredrick A. Carleson papers (1883-1993) contain correspondence, diaries, scrapbooks, certificates, notebooks, pamphlets, and business records concerning Fredrick Carleson and members of the Carleson, Gailey, and Patterson families. Carleson owned an automobile dealership in Salt Lake City. He was president of the Utah Automobile Dealers Asociation during the 1970s.
