Biographical Note

Julia Brixen Bertoch wrote Modern Echoes from Ancient Hills; she donated money to the building of Kingsbury Hall; was married to a Utah Senator, Marvin J. Bertoch, who also helped write Modern Echoes from Ancient Hills; and she taught Speech 105 at Westminister College.

Abstract

The Julia Brixen Bertoch papers (1888-1999) contain stories, news articles, pamphlets, excerpts from publications, manuscripts, and other articles pertaining to the writings of Julia Bertoch and the history of Utah and theater. Bertoch is a Utah author, teacher, and philanthropist. She co-wrote, with her husband Marvin J. Bertoch, Modern echoes from ancient hills: our Greek heritage. She also taught speech at Westminster College in Salt Lake City and donated money for the building of Kingsbury Hall at the University of Utah.
