E. D. Jones papers
Collection
Identifier: ACCN 0972
Scope and Contents
The E. D. Jones papers (1919, 1925) consist of a short history, written by Jones, of the Independence Mine at Turret, Colorado, and two letters. The history of the mine is handwritten and tells of the different claims making up the mine, how big the shafts and veins were, and the different ores found within. Ore samples from an unidentified mine are the subject of the letters, although one does mention the Independence Mine and that a sampling of it should be made.
