Included are correspondence, notebooks, day planners, and documents concerning Kipp's career as an mining engineer, various organizations he belonged to, and his extracurricular activities. Office files are listed alphabetically and include correspondence, reports, agendas, meeting minutes, articles, pamphlets, newsletters, notes, brochures, call reports, and business cards. For the most part, original titles given to the materials by Kipp have been retained.

The Ewald Kipp papers (1880-1980s) contain materials relating to Ewald Kipp (1899-1970s), a mining engineer who worked for various mining and smelting companies in Utah and surrounding states. Included are correspondence, notebooks, day planners, and documents concerning Kipp's career as an mining engineer, various organizations he belonged to, and his extracurricular activities.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

Boxes 1-49 were donated in 1984. Boxes 50-54 were donated in 1991. Boxes 55-59 were donated in 1992.

Separated Materials

Photographs were transferred to the Multimedia Section of the Manuscripts Division (P0011). Several oversize maps were also separated from the collection and are housed in the Manuscripts Division map case.
