Scope and Contents

The Julie Ingeröed autobiography is entitled, "One Year in Utah, or, the Secrets of Mormonism: A True and Honest Account, 1867" was translated by Helge Seljaas. The autobiography is an account, by a Norwegian convert to the LDS CHurch, of her experiences crossing the plains and later in Utah. She became disillusioned with the LDS Church, particularly with polygamy, and returned to Denmark where she gave anti-Mormon lectures in 1867.
