Scope and Contents

Folder 1 contains an analytical report regarding information about the history of the church, its members, statistics on age and sex distribution, the church school's attendance, finances, and special programs. Folders 3-9 contain annual reports which describe the profits and expenditures of the church. Also located in the collection is a financial report for 1957-1958 and miscellaneous documents which provide information on the church's youth programs such as the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Camp Fire Girls.

Organizational History

The Gilead Baptist Church was formed in 1949 as the result of the merging of the Burlinton and Rio Grande Baptist Churches. The church building was built in 1950 and operated in Salt Lake City by Reverend A. M. Beaudoin, Pastor, and Ellis M. Keck, Pastor.
