Scope and Contents
The E. Keith Eddington papers (1969-2001) consist of materials dealing with the English translation, by Charles E. Dibble and Arthur J. O. Anderson, of the Florentine Codex, a manuscript describing the civilization of the Aztecs. This manuscript was compiled by Fray Bernardino de Sahagun during the sixteenth century. The collection contains a Spanish/English typescript from book one of the Codex, articles concerning that same subject, two letters, and Eddington's resume.

Biographical Sketch
Eddington (b. 1924) is an artist who graduated with B.A. and M.F.A. degrees from the University of Utah. He studied the Florentine Codex and photographed significant examples of Aztec calligraphy and illustrations.
