Biographical Note
Helen S. Chindgren, 1916-2010, served in the Women's (Auxiliary) Army Corps during World War II and received many decorations and metals. She was active in women's clubs and President of the Audubon Society for about 20 years. She married Carl Julius Chindgren in 1946 after a brief courtship of four weeks and they were married for 63 years.
