Biographical Note

Holladay was born on 27 July 1912 in Gunnison, Utah, to Charles Owen and Grace Liston Holladay. He received his M.A. from the University of Utah, where he studied with Alvin Gittins and LeConte Stewart. He was a commercial artist for the Howard Hughes Corporation, as well as the Salt Lake Telegram. He also worked for the State Water Department.
