Biographical Sketch
E. Frank Sanguinetti received his Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Santa Clara in 1939. He served in various business capacities until 1960 when he arrived at the University of Tucson to teach art history and pursue graduate studies. In 1967, he was appointed museum director at the University of Utah. He led the museum to national recognition, and in 1972 it received national accreditation, the first museum in the West to do so. Sanguinetti passed away in 2002.

The E. Frank Sanguinetti papers (1989-1993) consist of travel information for European art tours that were led by E. Frank Sanguinetti, long-time director of the Utah Museum of Fine Arts.
