Scope and Contents

The James Ronald Bartlett papers (1987-2005) consist of materials documenting Bartlett's artistic and writing career, as well as his personal life. Bartlett compiled most of the papers into volumes, the order and organization of which have been retained. Included in the volumes are poetry, pictures of Bartlett's artwork, graphics, exhibit announcements, information on other artists, family history records, and information on various subjects such as Martin Luther, German literature, the LDS Church temple in Tennessee, and Nazi Germany.

Biographical Note

James Ronald Bartlett (b. 1934) is an emeritus professor of modern languages, who retired from the University of Mississippi in 1996. He received degrees from the University of Utah and Brigham Young University from 1963 to 1969 and taught at those same institutions, as well as others.
