Scope and Contents
This collection consists of newsletters from the 100th Infantry Battalion Veteran's Club. Seiko Arakaki served in the 100th Infantry Battalion, which was activated on 12 June 1942, and was composed of American-born Japanese ("Nisei," or second generation). The battalion saw combat in Italy at Salerno, Anzio, and Cassino in 1943-1944 before becoming part of the 442nd RCT.

Abstract
The Seiko Arakaki papers (1940s-2009) consists of newsletters from the 100th Infantry Battalion Veteran's Club. Seiko Arakaki served in the 100th Infantry Battalion, which was activated on 12 June 1942, and was composed of American-born Japanese ("Nisei," or second generation).
