Scope and Contents

The Greek railroad workers records (1904-2000) contain copies of newspaper articles and government records pertaining to a railroad accident in February 1904. Twenty-eight railroad workers, including sixteen Greek immigrants, were killed. Also included are articles from the Salt Lake Tribune and the Deseret News about the dedication of a memorial to the accident victims.

Abstract

The Greek railroad workers records (1904-2000) contain copies of newspaper articles and government records pertaining to a railroad accident in February 1904, as well as articles from the Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret News about the dedication of a memorial to the accident victims. In February 1904, 28 railroad workers, including 16 Greek immigrants, were killed.
