The Orson Hyde biography (1834 and circa 1939) was written by his son, Joseph S. Hyde, and also includes a copy of a letter from Orson Hyde to a Professor J. Seixas. The letter thanks Seixas for help in teaching Hyde Hebrew.

Biographical Sketch
Orson Hyde was born 8 January 1805 in Oxford Connecticut. He was one of the leading figures in the early days of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles from 1835 until his death in 1878.
