The Elton LeRoy Taylor papers (circa 1920s-1970s) hold the personal materials of Elton Taylor, as well as some of his research on Utah Lake. Included are interview transcripts, correspondence, a diary, missionary papers, real estate documents, notes, certificates, wills, and other materials.

Biographical Sketch

Elton LeRoy Taylor served an LDS Church mission to the eastern United States from 1923 to 1925. He was also a stake president and patriarch in the LDS Church. Aside from religious duties, Taylor had research interests in and wrote histories of Carbon County, Utah Valley, and Utah Lake.
