The collection starts out with Neff's personal materials and correspondence, located in box 1. Boxes 2-4 contain the rough draft for his book, with the final typescript located in boxes 5-6. Boxes 7-10 contain research materials used in writing the book. They are divided into names and subjects. Boxes 11-12 contain materials about Utah and World War I.
