Biographical Sketch
Daniel Brigham Hill Richards (1853-1939) graduated from the University of Deseret, University of Michigan, and attended the University of Paris and the University of Geneva. He earned the LL.B., LL.M., and LL.D. He was admitted to the Supreme Court of Michigan, U.S. District Court of Utah, and later to the U.S. Department of the Interior, and served as Clerk of the Utah State Board of Pardons. He also practiced law privately during many years. He was a missionary for the LDS Church in England, France, Switzerland, Italy, and Germany. He authored and edited numerous books on LDS topics, including a history of the LDS Church in Italy and a book of LDS hymns in French.
