Contributors: John Hunt, Bob Smith, Larry McClearly, Don Barach, Hank Christiansen, Larry Gwin, Bruce Brown, Max Knittel, John Hunt, Don Barach, and others from the Naval Undersea Center (San Diego, California), Brigham Young University, and the University of Utah.
Description: First, there is a series of three videos entitled, “Finite Element Analysis”, which uses computer-generated images to mathematically demonstrate how sonar projector transducers, Delta wing vibrations, and pressure patterns of submerged sonar transducers function. Afterwards, there is a program entitled “Low Cost, Graphical Computer Aided Design”, which explains why computers from the 1970s were expensive and inaccessible, how computer models were adjusted to make them cheaper and more accessible, and how these adjusted computers can be used in architecture. Finally, there is a program entitled, “An Interactive Fortran Graphical Display System”, which explains how computers process data, how a user can create a graph using said data, and how this can be applied in different fields.
