Description: This compilation first shows a program entitled “Halftone Animation”, which shows the process of building and manipulating a computer animated hand and face. Next, there is a program called, “Speech Synchronized Computer – Generated Facial Animation”, which shows the steps involved in creating a lip sync animation using a reading of a poem by Emily Dickens. Then, three sets of student films play: Computer Animation Seminar 1974, 1975, and 1976. Afterwards, there is an experiment called “Sound into Graphics” by James Bozek, Patrick Kane, and L. Van Warren, which shows a grid of rainbow pegs reacting to the background noise. Later on, there is a program called, “Not Just Reality”, which explains how 3D models are created and how they move, as well as explaining why computer animation research is important in the realm of animation. Finally, there is a program called “Pottery 4” by James H. Clark, which shows various 3D designs and models in a computer-generated reality.
