Scope and Contents

From the Collection: The Utah Humanities Research Foundation was established in 1944 by a grant from the Rockefeller Foundation for the purpose of collecting and preserving cultural materials in Utah. The photographs represent part of that effort from 1944 to 1947 and include portraits of various prominent people in Utah, buildings and towns of historical interest, and the "Great Salt Lake Album," a book of twenty-nine pictures of the islands and shorelines of the Great Salt Lake, with special emphasis on the Lucin Cutoff.

Twenty-four hour advanced notice encouraged. Materials must be used on-site. Access to parts of this collection may be restricted under provisions of state or federal law.
