Scope and Contents

From the Collection: The Frederick Quinn photograph collection consists of 4 boxes containing 2,034 black-and-white and color photograph prints, slides, and negatives. The images were collected by Quinn in his research for the 2004 book Building the “Goodly Fellowship of Faith:” A History of the Episcopal Church in Utah, 1867-1966 and depict buildings, events, and people related to the Episcopal Church in Utah. The collection also includes images of Episcopal congregations and ministry, including photographs of Camp Tuttle, an outdoor ministry in Big Cottonwood Canyon, Utah, that offers youth summer camps. The collection also contains images depicting visits from religious leaders such as Anglican Bishop Benjamin Nzimbi and Wilson Baganizi, Archdeacon of the Church of Uganda. While the collection contains some earlier photographs, the majority of the images date from the 1970s-1990s.
