Scope and Contents

  1. Photograph number 1: "Rock Shelter" (now Snowpine Lodge) under construction, summer 1938.
  2. Photograph number 2: Re-building the Snowpine Shelter from the old Alta General Store of the mining era. The building was re-built by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Designer was Forest Service engineer George Nichols, summer 1938.
  3. Photograph number 3: Snowpine Lodge, circa early 1940s
