Aerial views, misc.
File — Box: 3, Folder: 2
Scope and Contents
From the Collection:
The collection is comprised of various materials that illustrate the career of builder and developer Alan E. Brockbank.
A large number of the first half of these photographs pertain to Brockbank's community developments such as Rose Park and Chevy Chase. They include the many different styles of houses that Brockbank incorporated in each development. Interiors and exteriors of model homes are shown and there are a large number of renderings. Also included are the different phases of development, on-site construction, modular construction, interior and exterior finish work and family tours. An interesting file on inner-city renovation shows the changes before and after.
The second half of the file contains many aerial photographs of the Salt Lake Valley. Many of these include views of the Rose Park area during its development. The majority of aerial photographs are generally of the north end of the valley, but some go as far south as 7400 South. In addition to these aerials are two photographs of Antelope Island. In the oversize box (Number 4) are three rolled aerial photographs, including one of the better aerials of Rose Park and another of the Jordan River.
Please note: When a file contains views of the exterior and interior of a house, the photographs are generally filed in order of entrance. For example, the exterior, the family room, the kitchen, the bathroom and the bedroom.
