File — Box: 80, Folder: 11
Scope and Contents
- Richard Hodges, raised in Salt Lake City, holds a master’s degree in Economics from the University of Utah and had a long career with Utah Transit Authority (UTA) beginning with an internship at the company. His career included work on financing the first Trax light rail, and then the second line, completed just in time for the 2002 Olympics. Richard talks about his work at UTA and the planning that went into the transportation systems for the 2002 Olympics given Salt Lake City’s unique layout and transportation problems. He also discusses his over twenty-five years’ involvement in the Utah Nordic Alliance, starting as a board member and then serving as board president, and choosing and developing Soldier Hollow as an Olympic venue.
