Scope and Contents
- Paul Diegel’s parents were involved with outdoor sports, so his experiences in the outdoors started at a very young age. Paul did some skiing on the hills outside of Portland when he was growing up. She started really getting into outdoor sports when he became a teenager, and fell in love with ski racing. Paul moved to Utah in 1982 to live close to skiing opportunities in an affordable place. He also got a job as an engineer. Paul describes his experiences skiing in Utah and the culture he was a part of as a skier. He also lived in Arizona for a couple of years, and skied there. After moving back to Utah, Paul got involved in the Utah Avalanche Center. He describes the work he has done with the center.
