Scope and Contents

  1. Bill Kerig, documentary film producer, fundraiser and supporter of women’s ski jumping, talks about his career, his work promoting women’s ski jumping and his move into crowdfunding for athletes. He returned to Utah in 1997 to make the film Net Worth, wrote for Skiing and other outdoor magazines, and worked in numerous television productions. A producer for CBS at the Nagano Olympics, he got into documentaries soon after and did Steep with Peter Jennings, along with Edge of Never. In search of a female hero to focus on for his daughter, Bill got into women’s ski jumping and made Ready to Fly, focusing on pioneering women’s ski jumper Lindsey Van.
