Scope and Contents
- Ross Garrett was born and raised in Nephi, Utah, where he currently lives on a ranch. He served an LDS mission and in the military at the end of World War II. When he returned he became a rancher and subsequently became involved in the Central Utah Project. He served as Juab County commissioner and was later appointed to the Board of Water Resources. Ross describes the genesis of the Central Utah Project as well as the effects of the project’s many actions over about forty years. He talks about some of the obstacles he and the Central Utah project faced in that time, including negotiations with environmentalists, the Ute Indians and other Utah counties.
