Scope and Contents

  1. Mr. Bloom talks about the history of and his involvement in the Western History Association (WHA). He discusses the founding of the organization, important individuals connected to the WHA and the annual meetings. Mr. Bloom served as secretary-treasurer and as president of the WHA, which he discusses. He details his educational training and experiences, as well as his work on the Territorial Papers of the US at the National Archives. Mr. Bloom relates the changes he’s observed in the WHA during the span of his involvement.
